Yeoman Guide

Reporting to: Visitor Services Manager
Department: Visitor Services

The Greenwich Foundation, responsible for the care, promotion and interpretation of the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich, is looking for a part time Yeoman guide to join the team. If you are outgoing, have a good memory and appreciation of history and heritage we would like to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to become part of the team which provides a warm and informative welcome to the 700,000 national and international visitors who come to this outstanding heritage attraction every year.

Overall purpose of the job
To provide high quality information and guiding services to visitors to the Old Royal Naval College; to ensure that site security and visitor safety is maintained; working within a team to undertake wider responsibilities that help to further the objectives of the Greenwich Foundation, including site promotion, public events and events concerning partners on site.

Tour guiding or tourism qualification highly desirable. The Greenwich Foundation is an Equal Opportunity employer.

This role will initially be for one weekend day per week. 7.5 hours. £8.22 per hour.

Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive

Full Time, circa £25k p.a, depending on experience

The Greenwich Foundation, responsible for the care, promotion and interpretation of the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich, is seeking a Personal Assistant to provide high quality administrative support to the Chief Executive and directors, as required.

Overall purpose of the job
This is a varied role which requires good communication & organsiational skills. You will be the first point of contact for all internal & external inquiries for the Chief Executive, Chairman & Trustees and will be responsible for meeting, event arrangement & diary management involving the Chief Executive. You will also perform an office management role, ensuring the smooth daily running of the office, and will be involved in and responsible for specific admin projects as required by the Chief Executive and other senior managers.
